Did you have any goals? How have you accomplished them? Yes. I want to lift 200 pounds for a Dead Lift. Not yet.

Why is working out important to you? What keeps you motivated to pursue health? To keep me healthy. I am motivated by my interest in basketball and football.

What is one of your favorite or most memorable moments so far at Bodyshop Athletics X? The day I Dead Lifted 151 pounds.

How would you describe your experience at Bodyshop Athletics X to a friend? It's fun, it's awesome, and everyone is nice.

“Blake Sava aka "Young Sava the Legend." The name fits. Blake's attention to detail and coachability have helped him find success in training. Soft spoken, Blake comes to class with a good heart and adds to the fun of each class he attends. When Blake started with us, he was new to weightlifting and was very interested in learning. Every week saw progress. As Blake stayed consistent across the program, one day we noticed everything was clicking. I took a video and sent it to his mother, who is always proud of him. Her response, "Oh wow! He looks like a professional." Professional or amateur, it's Blake’s desire to get it right that helped with his progress. He's a joy to have on our team!” -J.W.

How long have you been working out at Bodyshop Athletics X? I have been working out at Bodyshop Athletics X on and off since about 6th grade.

What is your favorite food? My favorite food is Kraft Mac and Cheese. 

What is your favorite exercise? My favorite exercise is either planks or barbell back squat. 

Did you have any goals? How have you accomplished them? I had a goal of getting ready and in shape for next club soccer season. I have continuously grown and become more prepared for next season. I also wanted to become more physically fit and confident in myself. 

Why is working out important to you? What keeps you motivated to pursue health? I enjoy working out, it is a way of clearing my head and distressing after a long day. 

What is one of your favorite or most memorable moments so far at Bodyshop Athletics X? My favorite moment was probably when I was working out on a Saturday morning and then a Zumba class started as I was running a mile on the treadmill-it was very entertaining.

How would you describe your experience at Bodyshop Athletics X to a friend? I would describe my experience at Bodyshop Athletics X as been life changing. It has dedicated me to my health as well as boosted my confidence. It not only helped me physically but emotionally. Overall it is a fun and hardworking experience.

“Mackenzi has been around for the better part of 10 years. I've watched her grow into the dedicated young lady she is today. A lot of times we as coaches describe kids as athletic. I'd like to describe Mackenzi as athletic, but most of all, "She's got a good head on her shoulders." Mackenzi is incredibly coachable and highly disciplined. She manages to get in four sessions each week, work, school, and REST. Rarely does a high school student take the time to understand what is meant when a coach refers to rest and appropriate sleep. I've been impressed this past year at Mackenzi's growth as a person and an athlete!” -J.W.

How long have you been working out at Bodyshop Athletics X? 1 1/2 years

What is your favorite food? Any fresh seafood

What is your favorite exercise? Running

Did you have any goals? How have you accomplished them? When I joined Bodyshop Athletics I was a cardio junkie. I joined to get back to lifting weights so that I could strengthen and tone my muscles. I'm definitely stronger and never imagined lifting the amount of weight that I do currently. 

Why is working out important to you? What keeps you motivated to pursue health? I actually love working out. I love the adrenaline rush I get from working up a good sweat and completing a tough workout. I have run for years and even pushed through minor injury to finish distance races and always come out stronger in the end. At one point in my life I would exercise to justify eating. I've since learned that food is my fuel, and that healthy eating is key to better workouts and accomplishing goals. 

What is one of your favorite or most memorable moments so far at Bodyshop Athletics X? I don't know of a most memorable moment but one of my favorite things about being at Bodyshop X is feeling encouraged to be the best ME I can be. Jason's non-judgemental approach helps me feel less intimidated while still pushing me out of my comfort zone. The 6 am crew is a the best!!

How would you describe your experience at Bodyshop Athletics X to a friend? Having been a member of local big gyms, I found myself in somewhat of a rut. When I joined Bodyshop Athletics X, I gained an extended family. Many of the workouts could be done at home, but why would I do that when I can get excellent training and amazing workout friends who support me?

Is there anything you would like to mention? Huge thanks to Jason, Alli and the rest of the Bodyshop Athletics X staff. You guys are the best!

Consistency, hard work, and perseverance. If you're looking for an example for your athletes to look up to, Janet just might be that example. Janet makes exercise and healthy living a priority. The hardest part about writing about Janet is that I want you to be able to see her in action. Up early, she puts in work at Bodyshop X without complaint. Her pleasant smile and incredible insight make her a joy to be around. Why perseverance? Because Janet doesn't let obstacles get in her way of being productive. When things come up that could derail her, Janet finds ways to maintain her decision to live a healthy and active lifestyle!

Did you have any goals? How have you accomplished them? I have a goal to become healthier both physically and mentally. I have accomplished this goal by working out and eating healthy, as well as taking time for myself.

Why is working out important to you? What keeps you motivated to pursue health? Working out is important to me because it reduces my stress and boosts my self confidence. Reaching my set goals helps me feel motivated to pursue health. 

What is one of your favorite or most memorable moments so far at Bodyshop Athletics X? My favorite memories at Bodyshop Athletics X are made by the people there. My favorite memories are always when I am with the trainers or customers. 

How would you describe your experience at Bodyshop Athletics X to a friend? I would describe my experience at Bodyshop Athletics X as friendly, successful, and a lot of fun.

Mia is a ray of sunshine! Every time she comes into the gym, she's focused, self driven, and motivated. She's soft spoken, but when she speaks, it usually has meaning. Mia is not just an amazing athlete, she's an all around great person. Mia will start track this spring, and I have no doubt she will succeed this season! When given a challenge, she has a great mindset to be successful, and her upcoming season will only be proof. Best of luck this track season!-J.W.

What is your favorite food? Zucchini noodles and steak tips

What is your favorite exercise? Over head lift

Did you have any goals? How have you accomplished them? My goal is to be 175 by May 20, 2020. So far I have lost 13 lbs!

Why is working out important to you? What keeps you motivated to pursue health? It energizes my day, gives me mental clarity, and I like the way it makes me feel. What keeps me motivated are the personal trainers and the members at bodyshop x🤗🤗💪🏾

What is one of your favorite or most memorable moments so far at Bodyshop Athletics X? When everyone in group was ahead of me/finished, and they picked up where I was at and finished with me- that really meant a lot!🤗

How would you describe your experience at Bodyshop Athletics X to a friend? Bodyshop Athletics X is like no other! The staff the members are wonderful- I found a gym for life🤞🏾

Is there anything you would like to mention? I really appreciate everyone in the gym from the staff to the members.🤗

MaKesha initially started to help her daughter stay motivated as her daughter prepared for the military. As Makesha continued coming, what started as helping her daughter turned into results for herself. As she continues to train, she makes the extra effort to fit training into her schedule. Depending on her schedule, she will be here in the morning, midday, or evening. It's been a pleasure getting to know her. She always comes in with a smile and puts in work. Everything asked of her, she attempts, and trusts the process. I enjoy her presence every day she makes it into the gym! -J.W.
